As the interim coach of the Indian women's cricket team Former Indian cricketer Ramesh Powar has been appointed by the BCCI. The decision came after the board felt Powar could fill in the role until they find a suitable replacement for Tushar Arothe. Tushar has resigned just five months after being appointed the head coach of the Indian eves. For one of the top jobs in women's cricket, the BCCI has started the process to evaluate candidates. But, until then Powar will overlook the proceedings. The Indian women's cricket team is set to undergo a camp from July 25 to August 3 in Bangalore, where Powar will be seen in action for the first time. Following the camp, the Indian eves are scheduled to play a series in Sri Lanka, this August. Further, the BCCI is also planning a Challengers Trophy for girls.
