1. India and Bangladesh have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a coastal surveillance radar system in Bangladesh
2. To harness bilateral defence cooperation and to build a closer maritime security partnership between the two countries.
3. The MoU on coastal radar system was a part of the seven agreements signed after a summit meeting between PM Narendra Modi and visiting Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
4. Besides this, the leaders of the two nations jointly inaugurated three bilateral development partnership projects including bulk LPG import from Bangladesh and an agreement on a series of steps to boost connectivity through water, air and land.
